Winding through picturesque Gariwerd (Grampians National Park) to our doorstep in Dunkeld, the Royal Mail Hotel is ideally located for keen adventurers wishing to traverse the world class multi-day hike, the 160-kilometre Grampians Peaks Trail.
 

Shuttle drop-off is available for day hikes, with the promise of exceptional food, wine and accommodation inspiring hikers on the final stretch south.

What is the best way to book a table at Wickens?

The best way to book a table at Wickens is online.

If you are staying with Royal Mail Hotel please refer to your  confirmation email.

Wickens reservations, without Royal Mail Hotel accommodation stays, are welcomed subject to availability displayed online.

 

What days of the week are you open?

You can stay at Royal Mail Hotel 7 nights per week. Accommodation stays with self check-in/out are available Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. In-room Seasonal Supper is available to be pre-ordered to enjoy in your room on those nights – see here. On Wednesday to Saturday, in person Reception and dining options are open as follows :

  • Parker St Project for Dinner Wednesday to Saturday and Lunch Friday and Saturday.
  • Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel for Lunch on Saturday and Dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Saturday dinner excludes June – Sept).
  • Wine Bar snack menu Wednesday to Saturday for courtyard and bar seating (no reservations can be made).

Additional opening dates usually include the Christmas and New Year’s Eve period and over public holiday weekends such as Australia Day, Easter, ANZAC Day, Kings Birthday. A 20% public holiday and Sunday surcharge applies to dining.

Can I arrive by helicopter?

Yes, you can arrive by helicopter. Please email our team for details on our preferred helicopter transfer service or for landing instructions to provide to your pilot.
