Mount Sturgeon Homestead is a beautifully restored, historic 1800’s colonial six bedroom house accommodating up to twelve people. Featuring a formal lounge and dining room, sitting room, library collection, bathrooms complete with claw foot baths and a fully equipped kitchen. The Homestead also includes outdoor seating, wide verandah, vegetable garden and orchard. Set on a working farm, enjoy the sweeping views of Wurgarri (Mount Sturgeon).

Royal Mail Hotel’s Mount Sturgeon Station is a piece of Australia’s colonial history that can be shared with friends and family for an idyllic regional Victorian getaway, hired as an event or wedding venue or a site for your next corporate retreat.
Three kilometres from the Royal Mail Hotel and the Dunkeld township, guests have the option of complimentary transport to and from the homestead to the dining rooms.

What is the best way to book a room?
The best way to book a stay is online. Please search your stay dates by clicking ‘make a booking’ – note our usual opening days are Wednesday to Saturday and most of the time a two-night stay is required. If you are having difficulty getting rates to appear please ensure your dates match these requirements.

Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel is open for Dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Parker St Project is open for Dinner Wednesday to Saturday and Lunch Thursday to Saturday.
