Yes, our billabong inspired swimming pool is open during daylight hours. Towels can be collected from reception. The pool is not heated.
Note the pool is not supervised area and children under 12 must be supervised by adults at all times. Please obey the pool rules displayed on entry.
The best way to book a stay is online. Please search your stay dates by clicking ‘make a booking’ – note our usual opening days are Wednesday to Saturday and most of the time a two-night stay is required. If you are having difficulty getting rates to appear please ensure your dates match these requirements.

Yes you can arrive by helicopter. Please email our team for details on our preferred helicopter transfer service and/or instructions to provide to your pilot.
Check-in time is 3pm. On Wednesday’s we can often accommodate an early check-in subject to availability. If you plan on arriving earlier please let our team know and we will do our best to get your room ready as priority however this is not guaranteed.
Check out time is 11 am. Late check-out is available on request at the rate of $20 per hour.

A sample a la carte menu for Parker St Project can be viewed online and often includes an array of vegetarian options alongside options that can be easily made vegan on request.
Any allergy or intolerance such as gluten, lactose, dairy or nuts must be communicated with us in detail before your arrival. Knowing whether traces are ok or not is immensely helpful. If you, or someone in your group has a severe food allergy where traces or unintentional contamination could result in serious injury we advise that we will do our upmost to ensure this doesn’t occur but cannot guarantee complete elimination of such a risk.

There is a particular ambience and pace to the Wickens experience. We do not offer any reduction in either menu size or price for children, and cannot allow prams or highchairs in the venue due to space restrictions. We advise that only children who can participate in the full degustation partake.

The Chefs Table offers a unique, behind the scenes dining experience ideal for a special occasion, celebration or those looking for a front-row seat to witness the kitchen’s precision.
The booth-style table is situated in the kitchen and seats between two to four guests. The menu includes the 5-course chef menu, plus additional exclusive items only available to the chef’s table will be served on the night.
The chef’s table menu is $360 per person for 2023.
Availability for the chef’s table is extremely limited so book quickly to avoid disappointment.

Intimate, refined and exclusive, the private dining room at Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel has been designed for memorable celebrations.
The sandstone table seats a maximum of fourteen individuals. A floor-to-ceiling glass wall separates the room from the main restaurant space, ensuring privacy without compromising the atmosphere.
We can enhance private celebrations with a tailored wine and beverage experience designed exclusively to your group’s tastes and budget. Alternatively, select our daily cellar or French wine match on the next screen.
Pricing
Our Five-course Chef’s Tasting Menu is $275pp for 2023.
Our Eight-course Chef’s Tasting Menu is $320pp for 2023.
Cancellation policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or reductions in numbers received less than 14 days before arrival will forfeit the deposit paid. No shows or cancellations received within seven days will not be eligible for a credit and will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.
If your preferred dining date and time is unavailable, you may add yourself to our waitlist. To do so please click the reservations button here and search for your preferred date and time. Then click ‘submit a request and fill out the form with your contact details. A member of our team will contact you if a table should become available.

The Royal Mail Hotel and Dunkeld is approximately 45 minute drive along Grampians Road (C216) – beware of wildlife on the roads. The drive is surrounded by dramatic rocky escarpments and native Australian bush.
