Our wine cellar – home to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest privately owned collections of wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy – has been transformed into a welcoming space befitting of the our prestigious $2.8 million wine collection.

The refurbished space now provides hotel guests and visitors to Dunkeld with curated wine experiences, representative of our extensive collection, for just $25.00 per person.

Food and Beverage Manager Matthew Lance says “wine connoisseurs will savour the rare tasting experience now available in the wine cellar because of the in depth contrast it offers between new vintages and old world wines.”

To coincide with the re-opening of the wine cellar, we have introduced The French Collection; a French wine match that will showcase five of France’s most outstanding wines from the cellar paired with Executive Chef Robin Wickens’ award-winning dining room menu for a cost of $200.

Matt describes the French Collection as an “ever changing selection of highlights from the Royal Mail Hotel’s famous collection of old world French wines. The wines featured may be sourced from famous appellations including Bordeaux, Burgundy and Sauternes, together with outstanding varietals including chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet.”
