Whilst visiting, you are invited to meet members of our passionate team by joining a wine cellar tutorial or native wildlife feeding experience. Our network of nature walks are able to be explored exclusively by hotel guests.
All tours need to be pre-booked the evening prior at reception.
Kitchen Garden Tours
Enjoy chef-led kitchen garden tours and learn how the chefs harvest the produce daily and use them in the Wickens and Parker Street Project kitchens. Tours run Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings at 10am, $15 per person.
Wine Cellar Tutorial
Wine cellar tutorials are guided by the Royal Mail Hotel’s sommeliers. It includes a comparative wine tasting, set amongst the hotel’s 25,000 bottle collection. Allow 30 minutes. $25 per person.
Native Wildlife Feeding Tours
Learn about our captive breeding program and environmental initiatives and get up close and personal with endangered native Australian animals. $19 per person.
A heritage-listed River Red Gum, estimated to be more than 420 years old, is located on the Royal Mail Hotel Mount Sturgeon property. It has at one time fallen over and continued to grow with the main branches now forming the canopy.
Follow the 45 minutes loop trail and see this amazing piece of history, views of Wurgarri (Mount Sturgeon) and native wildlife. Ask reception for directions.
