We are delighted to take first place in two categories at the 2017 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards; for Deluxe Accommodation – two years running – and for Tourism Restaurant and Catering Services. The judges recognised excellence in offering guests immersive food and wine experiences, including sommelier and chef led wine cellar and kitchen garden tours. Our impressive regional accommodation and overall a high profile tourism experience in regional Victoria and Australia was also recognised.
The Royal Mail Hotel’s General Manager, Mark Whitnell, accepted the award alongside Marketing Manager Kylie Schurmann. Mark stated “At the Royal Mail, we are continually aiming to improve and surpass what we do year on year, and 2017 has been a particularly developmental year, opening our new restaurant ‘Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel’ in October. We aim to give our guests a world-class food and wine experience and we thank the Victorian Tourism Industry Council for recognising that.”
We now will be representing Victoria in the Australian Tourism Awards to be held in February – wish us luck!
