2012 Bordeaux has the potential to be a classic vintage, which should please fans of traditional Bordeaux. The 2012 vintage was small and at time difficult, but not without moments of greatness.
Spring was tricky, with damp conditions – April was extraordinarily wet – delaying both budburst and flowering, the latter finally occurred in June. The 2012 Bordeaux vintage is a year for vineyard managers and workers. A true wine makers vintage. 10 years on these wines are drinking very well and will keep for years to come.
