The 2009 Bordeaux vintage got off to a slow start after the cold, dry winter. Spring was average, with warm consistent weather but also some severe hail storms. Summer was perfect, long and warm with cool evenings. This perfect combination of warm, sunny days and cool nights was one of the keys to success of the 2009 Bordeaux vintage.
