Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel upholds the tradition of the award-winning Royal Mail Hotel dining room by continuing the five and eight course menu options that reflect locality and available produce growing in the hotel’s kitchen garden. In addition, the new restaurant, in it's spectacular setting, includes an in kitchen Chef’s Table for up to four guests, a welcome lounge for a pre-dinner drink and a wine corridor showcasing a selection of our extensive wine cellar, which holds the largest privately-owned collection of Bordeaux and Burgundy in the Southern Hemisphere.
Namesake and Executive Chef Robin Wickens says “guests dining in the new restaurant will see how its architecture and design connect with the surrounding land, the kitchen garden, the wine collection and references the heritage of the Royal Mail Hotel.”
